Projects

Projects form the top-level organizational unit in TESTMETRIX®.

All test data is structured and managed within a project. This includes, among other things:

  • Pipeline definitions and their runs
  • Test runs and test case executions
  • associated test data such as logs, metrics, and artifacts
  • Test system configurations
  • Verification projects and their associated requirement and test case projects


Purpose of Projects​

Projects are used to clearly separate test data and organize it in a structured way.

This ensures that:

  • all data is analyzed in the correct context
  • different systems or products are not mixed together
  • teams can collaborate in a structured way


Creating Projects​

Projects are typically created once via the user interface.

Since projects form the basic structure for all further data, creation is typically done manually rather than automated.

Creation via the REST API is also possible, but is not needed in most cases.
